I like these shorts, they are a good length. I'd rather they just not have the liner, it's true that it doesn't do much. But I don't feel like I'm about to fall out. If you hang extra low I guess it'd be possible but I don't think it's an issue for those of us on the less well endowed side. I do plan to wear briefs underneath like I usually do anyway.

The liner is a lie. The liner is sewn to the inside of the entire suit so there is no brief style liner or compression short liner. If you bend over your privates will fall out. If you ever lift a leg your privates will show. If you swim in a pool whoever is underneath the waters surface with goggles will see everything.
