Hear from Luisa!

I often sit in Bring Change to Mind club meetings in awe. I think about a younger version of myself who was struggling and longed for healing spaces, and wonder what this mental health crisis would look like for my generation if we were nurtured in these communities from an earlier age.

As I navigate the realm of mental health advocacy and figure out what cracks need smoothing in our broken systems, I think Bring Change to Mind is important in its ability to empower youth to make a difference.

This organization brings passionate people together, creates spaces for conversation, and makes it more accessible to communities across the country.

I’ve always believed that everything on Earth has an energetic frequency. We can use this knowledge to practice wellness by taking the time to understand our own in response to the world around us, learning to guard and compartmentalize it, and finding ways to restore it when it’s low.

You have a support system to lift you.

Know what resources are available to you and take advantage of them! Reach out and make sure that when things get hard, you have a support system to lift you. You are deserving of love no matter who you are.

In order to destigmatize this discussion, we need to finally start speaking up and taking accountability for our mental health, the same way we have our physical health. The Aerie family deserves to feel as good mentally, as they do physically, and that starts with you and me, and everyone around us.

When I started getting involved with Bring Change to Mind at the end of high school, I found myself recognizing some of the toxic and unhealthy habits I had created, and started letting go of them.

BC2M has provided me with countless resources and tactics to ease myself into that healthy and optimal mindset I strive to have, especially during the hardest times of the pandemic when body image was a difficult topic of discussion.

We’re shining a light on our partnership with Bring Change to Mind. Join us in ending stigma around mental illness and supporting the non-profit, which is dedicated to encouraging dialogue about mental health, and to raising awareness, understanding, and empathy!
