DIY: Turn Your Aerie Into Halloween Costumes!

Need a little Halloween costume inspo? Something that’s cute enough for the ‘gram & comfy enough for sitting around a bonfire all night?

We got you. A few of our associates flexed their creative muscles and used some DIY tricks to turn their Aerie into Halloween treats!

Keep reading to see the looks they conjured up! (Nothing scary, we promise.)

The bra top gets its moment in the spotlight with Sr. HR Coordinator Jade Garcia’s Superstar look!

Taking her inspiration from ‘90s pop icons, Jade paired a DIY-bedazzled SMOOTHEZ Full Coverage Lightly Lined Bra with black Real Me Crossover Flare Leggings. To make sure the bra top took center stage, she kept the rest of her look simple: natural makeup with a classic red lip, softly tousled waves, black sandals & dangly earrings.

Add a microphone and you’re ready to rock!

Get ready to sweat in Divisional Merchandise Manager Erin Smith’s colorful, kitschy & fun Aerobics Instructor look!

For this look, Erin started with a pair of pink Main Squeeze Seamless Waffle Leggings (pro tip: leggings are a great starter base for just about any costume) and a matching Jacquard Scoop Plunge Bikini Top. She took it to the next level with another bikini top, this time in baby blue, and a matching Jacquard Crossover High Cut Cheeky Bikini Bottom

Keep the color coordination going with a Plaid Swim Twist Headband and Waffle Sweater Scrunchie to match the outfit! Add bright makeup, big hair, leg warmers & Bala weights for an over-the-top ‘80s look.

Sarah Lamantia, Sr. Manager of AE Business Strategies, is channeling every single had-to-’gram-my-sushi-platter moment ever in this getup!

Start with a (comfy!) beige matching set like this Waffle Hoodie & Jogger. Then, take an orange pillowcase for your “fish” and wrap a green “seaweed” belt around your waist to secure the pillowcase. Finish with a couple of green and pink hair accessories for your garnish!

Taking a canine friend along on your Halloween adventure? We’ve got a puppy sushi costume for that.

Can we take a moment to appreciate Video Production Lead Rachel Beck’s creativity? If you’re a Certified Plant Parent™, you can’t go wrong with this adorable Terrarium costume.

The outfitting for this costume is super simple: Rachel paired a green OFFLINE By Aerie Real Luxe Faux Leather Legging with a matching sports bra. If you’re strapped for time, you could add a few floral accessories and stop there. But if you want to go all the way, check out this DIY terrarium “dress” tutorial from Aww Sam for a plant-astic costume.

Hope you have a safe, fun & just-scary-enough #spookyseason, Aerie fam. What kind of costume DIYs are you getting up to? Let us know in the comments and show us how you sc-Aerie your Aerie by tagging us on social @Aerie.
