Jenna Kutcher has always been #AerieREAL, but now – she’s officially an #AerieREAL Role Model!

You could say Jenna’s new title has been a long time coming. This entrepreneur, podcaster and girl next door ALWAYS keeps it #AerieREAL, and she’s been part of the Aerie family for as long as we can remember. Read on to see how Jenna has grown with Aerie and why we can’t wait to see what else she has to share as our newest role model.

You’ve been part of the #AerieREAL family for quite a while, what are you looking forward to sharing with our community as an #AerieREAL Role Model?

Let me first say: PINCH ME. I am so, so thankful for this opportunity and yes, it’s been years in the making. As a Role Model, I want to empower women to know that they are never alone and always enough. If a girl living in small-town Minnesota can “make it” as an entrepreneur, a dreamer, and now an AerieREAL Role Model, so can you. At the end of the day, I’m just a normal girl with a mission to change the world and I sincerely pray to provide a relatable example for women while always promising to keep it real. Life isn’t always perfect, self-love isn’t always easy, but there is so much power in simply showing up and I promise to do that!

Entrepreneur, podcaster, boss babe – you keep busy! How do you do it?

It takes a village! Can I just say that I have the most amazing team of women surrounding me? Over the last seven years I’ve grown a business and a brand that serves hundreds of thousands of humans every single day and I could never do it alone. I’m always dreaming, always thinking of ways to serve others, and I have the most amazing community around me helping make it all happen! What started as a means of escaping a windowless office corporate job at the age of 23 has turned into an empire with so many different facets. It’s such a gift to wake up and do what I love every single day!

What’s a typical day in the life of Jenna Kutcher?

Should I really tell you? You’re going to think I’m the most boring person on the earth, but here goes! We wake up with the sun (no alarm clocks for the Kutchers) and usually lay in bed and talk about how cute our dogs are…. yes, they sleep with us. Drew (my husband) and I head to the gym or I’ll go on a walk with the dogs and listen to the podcast. Then I get to work for the day either at a local coffee shop or from the couch! We try to break for lunch together and for a midday dog walk, working from home is such a blessing. Then Drew will make us dinner (thank goodness I married a man that loves to cook and clean) and we will snuggle up on the couch and watch a little riveting television. We are obsessed with shows like The Bachelor, MTV The Challenge, Project Runway, hilarious TV shows that are so far from our real life. We walk the dogs before we head to bed and then read before we fall asleep. Our lives are simple and slow but I love it, it’s either that or I’m traveling the world for work and so they balance each other out quite well!

What makes you #AerieREAL?

I’m not afraid to talk about the reality and the challenge of what it looks like to have to choose self-love every day – let me tell you, it’s not easy. I pride myself on not just showing the highlight reel but on keeping it real. The internet has walked through some of life’s greatest triumphs with us but they’ve always witnessed some of our greatest heartbreaks. I want to be a voice for women and someone that allows others to say, “me too!” Now, as an expectant mom, I am more conscious than ever at how amazing our imperfect bodies are, in the strength we possess, and in the fact that our bodies should be celebrated for all they can do. As we enter this new season after 2.5 years of fertility struggles and loss, I hope to share this journey with the world as my body changes and we prepare for our baby. Being #AerieREAL isn’t reserved for a certain body type or age or season of life, it’s for all of us. For me, it will always be real, not retouched.
